THOMAS LISK
thomas@virginiaparanormal.net
My interest in the paranormal started at a very
young age after having a few experiences with the
unexplained. My first "investigation" was at the age
of 17 of a house in San Diego. I really don't count
those days as being a true investigator but more
the inspiration for my interest in the paranormal.

I have been on roughly 80+ investigations from
California to Virginia. I have always had a
background in technology and use that in my
investigations. I like to run as much equipment as
possible and keep all gathered evidence in one
place for review. Review to me is one of the most
important areas of an investigation, without
evidence of a haunting you might as well be sitting
at the Haunted Mansion ride in Disneyland since
thats all your doing is having fun.

I have been in many groups which have all made
me stronger and have a clear idea of what I want in
a group. Virginia Paranormal is that clear idea. We
have a great group of people of all experience
levels and beliefs. VP.Net holds evidence review
and training in high regard and participates in many
experiments/events to bring as much understanding
and cohesiveness to the paranormal community.

TERRI VANDERLAAN
terri@virginiaparanormal.net
Growing up in a haunted house opened me up to
the paranormal at a very young age.  It also gave
me the opportunity to experience many things that
most people will never understand including myself
which is why I now investigate paranormal claims.

Since I have embarked on this paranormal seeking
journey I have had the opportunity to be included in
a book about such things.  You can find my intro for
the chapter about the Poor House Road Tunnel in
“Ghosthunting Virginia” by Michael Varhola.

I have also had the privilege of participating in an
EVP study that contained almost 100 EVP captured
by several different paranormal groups from the
Ferry Plantation House (one of Virginia Beach’s
haunted jewels).  I am still awaiting the results from
that study but will pass them along as soon as I get
any updated information.

I guess if I really had to think about it I have been
pursuing the paranormal for as long as I can
remember.   This was not always by choice, but
rather, sometimes, out of necessity. I have often
wondered if we choose to be paranormal
investigators or if for some reason unknown to us
we are chosen. Could it be that some of us are lead
down a path that could only take us to one place?

WAYNE LINCOLN
wyane@virginiaparanormal.net
I'm Wayne Lincoln and I'm a deputy sheriff with the
City of Norfolk. Just don't let my mom know. She
thinks I'm a piano player in a whore house.
Anyway...I grew up in Beaufort SC, the navy
transplanted me here where I met my wife and got
married 33 years ago. I have two sons. I did 20
years with the Navy, 12 years with VBPD (mostly
while I was in the navy) and have been in my
current position for 15 years. If not ghost hunting
or working I am either riding my motorcycle or
doing something else that is fun.I got into the
paranormal a few years back when I found out they
had groups and have been a part of 4 different
groups. Mike and I have been ghost hunting
partners for a while and have come across some
pretty interesting things
LEAD INVESTIGATOR

MIKE JOAO
mike@virginiaparanormal.net
A little about myself, My name is Mike J I've been
in 3 different Paranormal groups past few years
and now dedicated to Virginia Paranormal to
further our understanding of Paranormal
phenomena. I've been in the field for most part of
the last 4 years and have always liked anything
alien or paranormal since a little kid and the 1980s
especially those teen Ouija board days and how
amazed how it really worked without touching that
piece that moved by itself that really drew me in to
the idea that we are not alone, which really enticed
my appetite to further my knowledge to this
science. I'm a serious investigator and believe in a
hard work ethnic and attention to detail, if we get
called upon to investigate a private residence I
always vow to produce the best paranormal
investigating, debunking techniques and use
every piece of knowledge I know into play to find
out answers for a client. We are proud and
professional and that's my commitment and vow to
Virginia paranormal.
INVESTIGATORS

CHAD GAGNON
chad@virginiaparanormal.net
I'm Chad Gagnon, I ended up in the area through
the Navy as well. ;I currently work as a
Medic/Firefighter for the City of Hampton. Have
been with the city for a cumulative of 7 years with
a 2 year ciesta to Seattle from '05-'07 where I was
raised. ;Besides spending time doing
investigations of the paranormal, I also enjoy
spending time with my 9yo son. Although, I have
tended to stay pretty busy over the past year or
so finishing up school (for right now anyways). I'm
currently going to school again to get my
Paramedic two of the days I'm off of work.
Investigation wise, this is my second group,
currently with another still in it's early stages. ;I
have roughly ten investigations with many EVPs, a
couple photos, several personal experiences to
include the shadow people, and the awesome
feeling I get everytime I hear disembodied voices.

PAM SUINO
pam@virginiaparanormal.net
My name is Pam. This is only the second
paranormal group I've been a part of, though I've
had a lot of paranormal things happen to me. Not
until I started watching some of the stuff on TV,
did it ever occur to me to go out and look for 'em!!
Needless to say, I have a strong curiosity about
the spirits who opt to remain here, if indeed the do
have an option, and I am very curious as to why
they stay.I am originally from Southern California. I
retired from the Army in 1998, after 24 years;
stayed here in VB because that just happened to
be where I was at retirement... California sure
wasn't calling me back! I am currently going to
Virginia Wesleyan College full-time, with a major in
Communications/Journalism. Good Lord willing
and the crick don't rise, I should graduate (finally)
in May 2010...not too far off, but far enough! I
also play percussion with Symphonicity, The
Symphonic Orchestra of Virginia Beach; that ties
up some of my time too.

RICHARD COWLING
rick@virginiaparanormal.net
I'm Richard Cowling, I am originally from
Philadelphia, PA. I ended up here thanks to the
infinite wisdom of the US government.  I am
currently stationed at Fort Eustis as a mechanic
for the Army. I have been in for about 5 years now
and wouldn't take it back for the world. When I'm
not investigating the paranormal, I'm usually
working or spending time with my 2 year old son.
;The army and him keep me busy for most of my
time, but I do find the occasional extra few hours
to sneak out. I had been looking for a credible
group in the area for some time now, and luckily
ran across VAP. Great group of people, and
damn if at the next intersection I shouldn't "Turn
Leeeft".I got into paranormal investigations about
7 or so years ago, when i was 17.....yes I'm a
young'en. Growing up in Philly i did get to go to
some really fun places. I have been to Valley
Forge, Gettysburg, of course Eastern State Penn.
I have also been to the Jim Thorpe prison, some
places in Lancaster and of course my personal
fave, Fort Mifflin, heck I grew up like 15 min. from
the place. I would say that I have about 25-30
investigations under my belt. I enjoy investigating,
and I will probably keep doing it until....well until
the end.

HEATHER ANNE
heatheranne@virginiaparanormal.net
I grew up seeing & feeling more than those
around me and didn't think it unusual until adults
said I was 'overly imaginative.'  I quickly
suppressed my intuitiveness to fit in better.  Now I
am trying to refocus my senses and use them to
help others -- be they flesh or spirit.  I believe
there is much that we do not understand and I
have a strong faith that we all have such gifts, we
just haven't learned how to use them.  I'm an
animal lover and have noticed animals can sense
things unseen so I do try to pay attention to their
moods.  While I have had lots of personal
experiences with spirits of all natures, this is my
first investigative group and I am excited to learn
much from others.  I hope to try and help spirits
who are not at rest, as well as persons who feel
spooked by spirits in their homes, etc.  I'm an
eternal student, so any field trip is a chance to
gain more knowledge and data, hence I'm up for
almost anything.  Gettysburg was awesome and I
look forward to lots more adventures with the
group.

AIMEE
aimee@virginiaparanormal.net
I’ve always been interested in the paranormal, so
joining the group has been extremely gratifying. I
find it thrilling when you can substantiate in reality
what you read and see in media---books and
movies---and that feeling begins with
investigations and continues when you review
material later and discover confirmation of what
you’re looking for. Equally satisfying is to be
surrounded by folks with a similar fascination with
the paranormal, and everyone in this group is
phenomenal. Some miscellaneous background
info about myself----I love to read, write, and
paint. I work full-time and go to school as well. I’ve
lived in the Hampton Roads area for about 16
years, but originate from Florida. Still miss it
(beautiful environment), but Virginia has its charm
as well.

CLINT MIDDLETON
clint@virginiaparanormal.net
I am originally from a briar-patch in south Georgia.
I joined the Navy in 1996 where I spent 10 years
between Virginia, San Diego and Japan. I was
rated as a Sonar Technician which is where I
learned the electronics trade. Today, I am a Test
Engineer for Lockheed Martin and still work for
the Navy at Dam Neck testing and repairing
electronic components.

I have been interested in the paranormal since
childhood in Georgia where my brother and I grew
up next to a cemetery and would sometimes just
sit in it at night just to see. I did not have an
experience until last year when I was in an old
mansion in Florida that was being renovated by
the county for the parks and recreation
department. To this day I do not know exactly
what happened but it brought back those
childhood memories and got me wanting answers.
I met virginiaparanormal.net through the meetup
group and have really learned a lot from the team
and look forward to bringing what I can to
investigations to help find the answers for clients
and myself. It's an honor to work with such a tight
and professional group of people, even though no
one can seem to remember my name. LOL

TOM BEAL
tom@virginiaparanormal.net
Thomas Anthony Beal or Tom to everyone.  I was
born in Clifton Forge, Virginia 36 years ago, but
grew up and lived in Hampton Roads all my life.
Graduate of First Colonial Highschool, TCC grad
(impressive, I know)and I currently live in
Hampton, VA and I work as a state vehicle
inspector on Fort Eustis.  The paranormal has
been a life long interest of mine.  Although my
investigative experience is limited to a few EVP's,
a video or two and an extremely chilling phonecall
mostly surrounding my oldest niece, whom I was a
father figure to.  As an agnostic, I feel I can be
sensitive to the scientific as well as the spiritual
aspects of the paranormal and afterlife, or just the
unexplained.  I hope to help people in the group,
the clients as well as those on the other side in
the process experience as much as I possibly can
by being part of Virginia Paranormal.

HEATHER CHIRDON
heather@virginiaparanormal.net
Hello, I am Heather Chirdon, originally from
western Pennsylvania, an area rich in history and
paranormal.  My interest in the paranormal began
in my college years and has continued into my
adult life.  I moved to Virginia Beach 5 years ago
to live at the beach and escape the snowy
northeast winters. When I am not investigating I
enjoy sports and watching my Pittsburgh Steelers
& Penguins win championships.  It is great to be a
fan of the “City of Champions”.  Also I enjoy
spending time with my multiple pets including a
Labrador retriever, a fox terrier, 2 cats, 1 bearded
dragon, and a python.  What I like to lovingly refer
to as “my own personal petting zoo”.
I joined VirginaiParanormal.net  to further
investigate and expand my knowledge base of the
paranormal in hopes to have a better
understanding and assist others in need.
