Chesapeake House Investigation
Friday, October 3, 2009
In attendance were Wayne, Joe, Amy and Terri. The house is set back in a wooded lot with a gate to access
the property. According to what the home owner has told us no other house has occupied this land except
for a modular home she lived in until the current house was built. She had the current house built about 6
years ago and has been the sole occupant. She owns many animals which include four dogs, two horses, a
donkey and a bird.
We had 2 teams and two posts. One post was a portion of the downstairs of the house. This post included
the living room/kitchen area which is what I would call a great room as it's pretty wide open. The second post
was the entire outside of the house. This included a horse stable and pasture, a small pet cemetery, the
winding driveway and an area in front of the house that was illuminated by an ornate light post that lit up a
good part of the front yard.
Our equipment was the usual and included digital audio recorders, hand held camcorders, K-2 meter,
camera, tri-field meter and our own personal senses. The moon was waxing and 98% full, but clouds in the
sky did not allow the moon to penetrate. We did experience some light rain while there.
Earlier in the day the homeowner consulted a psychic who told her that she indeed had someone unseen in
her home and in fact it was a native American Indian. She also told her that this "spirit" was a good one and
that she should not try to get rid of it as he could aid her in her problem with the crazy neighbor. The client
had called Wayne and said that she really had considered cancelling the investigation but did not want to
disappoint us by doing that.
Wayne split us up into male and female teams. He and Joe took the inside as their first post. Because of the
activity of the dogs and the squawking bird inside it was very difficult to get the house quiet enough to have a
good evp session. Neither one of them had any personal experiences to my knowledge.
Amy and I had somewhat better luck outside as far as the noise level was concerned. Even though
occasionally the wind would pick up it was relatively quiet outside. We walked the tree line of the pasture
doing EVP and then decided to head to the front yard. We noticed the small pet cemetery to the right and
lingered there for a few minutes before going to the lighted front yard. The rain clouds were heading our way
when Joe or Wayne signaled to us via whistle that it was time to change posts.
Having the feeling that the client had changed her mind about the investigation, I did not investigate in the
house. Amy did a 15 minute EVP session inside the house with no results. To my knowledge she did not
have any personal experiences either.
Although Joe, Wayne and Amy did not have any personal experiences, I did. When we first arrived, we were
standing outside talking with the client. I saw out of my peripheral vision a white flash somewhere out in the
pasture. I saw this twice and mentioned it to Joe as we were waiting to get the investigation underway. I also
had another experience while sitting alone on the bench that was located beside the drive way. While sitting
there alone doing an EVP session I was looking into the garage through a window on the door. I saw what I
thought was a hanger swaying as if someone had walked by it and brushed up against it. Upon closer
inspection, it was actually a brown furry lapel of a jacket that had moved. Wayne and I checked and could
find no source of air that could have caused it to move.
Before leaving we did share with the client the EVP that we had captured during the initial interview. She
seemed amazed at what we caught, and also somewhat scared or at least uneasy. BTW, neither of the
EVP's were male so either she has more than one entity living with her or the Native American Indian was
disguising his voice. Or possibly the entity is not a Native American Man at all.
After reviewing the audio we feel that we have capture 1 strong EVP and two lesser EVP. We have no visual
evidence but because of the nature of what the client described the activity was (which was all audio) we
were not surprised. We have presented the client with this evidence and have given her access to the
"Client Log-In" section of the website which will allow her to share this evidence with family members, friends
and co-workers from any computer with web access in the world
